N2EDU INC  ·  Effective date: June 24, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 10, 2026

Plain-language summary PlanInk is a PDF planning tool that runs entirely in your browser. We collect only what we need to operate the service — primarily your email address and license information. We do not sell your data. We do not upload or process the documents you work on in PlanInk.

01 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and limited information generated automatically when you use PlanInk.

Information you provide:

  • Email address — when you request a trial code, purchase a license, or subscribe to product updates.
  • Referral information — if you were referred by an existing user, the email address of the person who referred you (provided via a referral link) so we can attribute the referral. If you refer someone else, your email address may likewise be submitted by the person you refer.
  • Payment details — processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store credit card numbers or full payment credentials on our servers.
  • Support communications — if you contact us by email for support or sales inquiries, we retain that correspondence.

Information collected automatically:

  • License validation data — license key, device identifier, seat count, and activation timestamps, used to enforce your license tier and device limits.
  • Usage logs — basic server logs including IP address, browser/OS type, and timestamps, retained for security and diagnostic purposes.

What we do not collect: PlanInk processes PDF files locally in your browser session. We do not upload, transmit, or store the contents of any PDF or plan document you open or edit in the application.

Optional cloud storage integration: PlanInk offers an optional, in-beta feature to open and save files directly from Google Drive. If you use this feature, PlanInk requests access only to the specific file you explicitly select — never to your Drive as a whole — and that file transfers directly between your browser and Google's servers. PlanInk's own servers do not see, receive, or store the file at any point. This connection uses Google's `drive.file` permission scope, which by design limits access to files you have explicitly opened or created with PlanInk.

01b Third-Party Cloud Storage Providers

If you choose to connect a cloud storage provider (currently Google Drive) to open or save files, your use of that connection is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms of service — PlanInk does not control, and is not responsible for, how the provider handles your account or file data outside of the specific transfer described above.

You can review or revoke PlanInk's access to your Google account at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions.

02 How We Use It

We use the information we collect to:

  • Issue, validate, and manage your license key and seat allocations.
  • Process payments and send transaction receipts.
  • Respond to your support and sales inquiries.
  • Send you trial codes you've requested and important account notices (e.g., license expiration).
  • Attribute referrals and, where applicable, apply any referral rewards to the referring and referred parties.
  • Detect and prevent abuse of the trial key program or license system.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of PlanInk.

We will not use your email address to send marketing communications unless you have separately opted in. You can unsubscribe from any such communications at any time via the link in those emails.

03 Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — we use Stripe for payment processing and may use a transactional email provider to deliver license keys and receipts. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only use your data to provide their services to us.
  • Legal obligations — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of N2EDU INC, our users, or others.
  • Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is subject to a materially different privacy policy.

04 License Keys & Seat Data

PlanInk uses a license key system to manage access across devices and seats. When you activate a license, we record the key, the number of seats activated, the device identifiers associated with each seat, and activation timestamps.

This data is stored in our license database on our VPS infrastructure hosted in the United States. It is used exclusively for license enforcement and abuse prevention. Device identifiers are hashed before storage and are not used for any purpose other than validating your license.

Organization-tier licenses are capped at 50 seats and 3 devices per seat (150 devices maximum). If you need to transfer or reset seat assignments, please contact us at support@planink.app.

05 Cookies & Tracking

The PlanInk marketing site (planink.app) uses minimal, functional cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking pixels.

  • Session cookies — used to maintain state during your visit. These expire when you close your browser.
  • Analytics — if we use analytics software, it is configured to anonymize IP addresses and not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

The PlanInk application (app.planink.app) does not use cookies. License validation occurs over a direct API call using your license key.

06 Data Retention

  • Email addresses collected for trial code requests are retained until you request deletion or for 2 years of inactivity, whichever comes first.
  • License records are retained for the duration of your license plus 3 years, for auditing and dispute resolution.
  • Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations (typically 7 years).
  • Support correspondence is retained for 3 years after the last communication.
  • Server logs are rotated and deleted after 90 days.

07 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act) to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data.
  • Receive a machine-readable copy of your data (data portability).
  • Opt out of any marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@planink.app. We will respond within 30 days.

08 Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data we hold. These include TLS encryption for data in transit, hashed storage of device identifiers, and access controls limiting who at N2EDU INC can access the license database.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to security@planink.app.

09 Children's Privacy

PlanInk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10 Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of PlanInk after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will not retroactively apply material changes to data already collected without your consent.
